This native hibiscus is a hardy tall shrub with white blooms in spring. Petals are edged with maroon.

It is dedicated to Barbara Quast who was committed to working with students with special needs and learning disabilities. Barbara helped provide the 'Edge' to enable many of these students to grow and survive beyond the classroom.
